I quite like Pete Well's position against Nepomniachtchi but I'd feel more confident if he had more time on the clock - at least there's a 30sec increment

Well, to me it looks like a clear edge (for Wells) but that's just a superficial view - I'm not really calculating too many variations

yes, it looks to have gone wrong in the last few moves before the time control - I have a feeling Black was doing well though and 37..a5!? looks a good place to start - Black must be better there.

Not sure about Ian's knight sac against Pete - surely there was something easier. I'm struggling to see the win here but maybe I'm just missing something!

Looking at the pictures on chessbase http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=7105, the room layout looks much like a typical e2e4 event at Denham or Sunningdale, so not obviously tight for space.

You might, or perhaps should, seal off the top boards. If you've got two French 1800 players playing each other, why prevent their friends coming to watch?
