"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

I could be wrong but it seems like there is a trend emerging with titled players and this gofundme stuff. Not too long ago, a certain GM wanted his travel costs and tournament expenses paid for.

What an inappropriate way to respond
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Because the money in chess is painfully inadequate to keep all the would-be professionals fed and clothed today, much less to keep them insured against misfortune tomorrow, and titles are a net contributor to the problem.
Northumberland/Forest Hall. Views mine. Definitely below the Goodall Line.
