The Army and Navy Club - Pall Mall FIDE Congress

The next congress will take place from 4-6 September at the Army and Navy Club in Pall Mall. The location couldn't be more ideal, within walking distance from Hyde Park, Green Park, Buckingham Palace, and lots more to offer!

Organised under the Army and Navy Club, with special thanks to Mike Ross for putting it together. The event marks its third edition since its inception in March earlier this year.

There are three sections (all are FIDE and ECF rated, 5 rounds of 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment chess):
- Open to all (1st £500 2nd £250 3rd £150),
- Major Under 2000 (1st £300 2nd £150 3rd £75),
- Minor Under 1650 (1st £300 2nd £150 3rd £75).

Just 60 places - 40 reserved for FIDE standard rated players.
Under 16's are not permitted in the venue.
Dress Code = jacket and trousers, no jeans or trainers, ties encouraged.
No spectators (members excepted)

Pall Mall Masters and Challengers - 3-4 October 2026

A special event taking place at the same venue as the congress in early October featuring a 6-player double all-play-all super rapid & blitz plus a Challengers rapid & blitz where some of England's top players and London's best compete for a £7,000 prize fund.

The Masters Super Rapid and Blitz is looking for three players rated around 2600+/- FIDE rapid & blitz elo.

The Challengers tournament is nearly full, with two places remaining.

This event will be livestreamed on video with commentary (TBD).
