Stephen Brown

[Simon Rogers]

I am sorry to inform you that Stephen Brown passed away early October 2023.
Stephen was a long-time member of Hull Chess Club and was Team captain at the YPI Club as early as the 1970s.
His nickname was Tal, due to his straightforward, classical and attacking style.
A very natural player - who always played quite quickly and incisively.
A proper "go for the throat' player."
His funeral took place on Wednesday 20th December 2023 at St.Hilda's Church, Greatfield, HU9 4JY.
