45th Capablanca Memorial takes place 9th-22nd June 2010

Nigel Short played in a category 18 six player double round all-play-all which included Vassily Ivanchuk and had an average rating of 2700. He finished 3rd= with 5.5/10 and a rating performance of 2739. Ivanchuk won with 7/10.

Yeovil Summer Congress

Congratulations to Felix Ynojosa who won the FIDE rated open with 4/5, half ahead of Sarah Hegarty and Patryk Krzyzanowski who qualified for the British.

Frank Pittman won the FIDE rated major with 4/5, Shane McCabe, Brendan O`Gorman, Robert Kane and Lucjan Karpinski were equal second with 3½.
