I may have to organise a few more tournaments (there are few eligible tournaments)

But not with the same rules as your Henley event as its lower rating limit means it fails to meet the British Championship qualifying criterion of "Tournaments included will be those are that are open [to] all players with no rating ... restriction".

I actually did check, and the ECF confirmed that floors do not count.

Hopefully, parking arrangements will be mentioned on the entry form as parking in the centre of Leicester is expensive and the park-and-ride closes too early in the evening for it to be suitable for afternoon games.

Essentially it's a city centre venue, so planning to take the train and staying within walking distance is expedient. That's what I've done anyway with by booking a hotel about halfway between the station and the DMU.

Starting the last round of the British, Major Open and Senior tournaments at 9:15 am on a Sunday morning is an unwelcome change from previous years when it was 10:00 am. 11:00 am like the 4NCL would be better.

There's are inconsistencies in the information provided. The Tournament Rules say round 9 in these events starts at 10 am. I agree 11 am would be better.

Depends what metric you use to judge "better" by, I suppose. Someone travelling back to a far-flung region might be very grateful for an earlier start.

(Taking my local station as a good example of a far-flung region: the last train one can catch on a Sunday leaving Leicester and getting to Barnstaple that day is the 16:02.)

Not having to get up earlier in the morning than I otherwise would have done/did do for every previous round.

This may have been mentioned but rather than having about five or six staggered rating tournaments through the week there are now separate AM and PM tournaments with three grading bands (slightly different for each).

As there isn't a beach to walk along/ drink beers beside this year I'm probably going to be a masochist and enter both tournaments. I might even give the blitz a go.
