It's very much easier for the defender when the pawn is on h4 rather than h3 though. You'd think that in ordinary circumstances Naka would hold it nonetheless but at the end of a long day and if low on confidence after yesterday who knows?
My guess is that White will try to keep the Knights on

Yes, Nakamura in trouble. Giri missing a chance against Karjakin (they drew). Aronian now winning against Topalov. It is all happening.

+1 is the lead after 3 rounds, with Anand & Karjakin there, and Aronian & Svidler maybe joining them
Level are Giri & Caruana
Nakamura & Topalov giving everyone a head start
Long way to go, but an early indication of form?

Just got home to see The Nak has offered a trade of knights on g2. I’m not particularly surprised to be proved wrong but In my own defence i was talking about the pawn structure before White played g2-g4.

I'm far from his biggest fan, but another clear last place for Topalov in this event would be a shame nonetheless.
