What chess24 don't have is move times, though in some ways that might be just as well...

[EDIT: though they do seem to have a couple of them now. Hmmm.]

Well today I have the day off. Yesterday was a bit tougher though.

TBH, I have never found the move times on chess24live to be entirely accurate, although I agree they are useful to know

Anyway, good to be able to follow the games, or at least it would be if I hadn't got too much work to do

Any surprise with any of the opening choices?

Can't say I've seen the Nakamura-Caruana line in a top game before but given that Naka likes the English I'm not sure it's a surprise as such.

Chessdom, by the way, don't seem to be following today's game at all.

So to recap,

an entirely predictable outcome and Agon / World Chess have achieved nothing more than a public relations fiasco.

The official site seems to require a refresh to get new moves where the NRK one doesn't.

Who would have thunk it, eh?

Maybe that nice Mr Dylan (or whatever his name is) can let us know what he thinks again ;)

Actually, there is something else that they’ve achieved. They - Dylan McClain and others - have revealed themselves to be deeply unpleasant, bullying arse hats.

It's not entirely doom & gloom: their lawyer will finally be able to afford the high-end BMW they always wanted ;-)

Seirawan and Dlugy entertaining on ICC.

Chess 24 happily pointing out that they're doing it in three languages (German and Spanish too) which doesn't seem to be something the official people thought of?

I imagine someone is probably doing Russian commentary somewhere.
