I was wondering what the minimum requirements are to get a game graded.
For example, if myself and a friend (who are in different chess clubs but are both ECF Members) fancy playing regular games against one another at our houses once a week; can we simply submit these to the ECF to be graded?
If not, and we created a chess club (in which we are the two sole members), can we submit these to the ECF as inter-club games?
I play in leagues, but wondering if my friendly games can also be graded?

Apart from games played abroad, the ECF does not directly accept submissions from individuals of games to be graded. That said, the local grader might be prepared to register your games as an event and run them through as part of his regular submissions of league and internal club data. Key points would be that he was notified prior to games ,was satisfied that no selective reporting was going on and that games were actually played.Laurie Roberts wrote: For example, if myself and a friend (who are in different chess clubs but are both ECF Members) fancy playing regular games against one another at our houses once a week; can we simply submit these to the ECF to be graded?

Wouldn't they have to be played with clocks to a specified time limit as well??
