Frank Salt

[Simon Rogers]

I am sorry to inform you that Frank Salt passed away at the beginning of June 2024.
Frank was long-time member and one-time President of Mold & Buckley Chess Club.
He was a member of Mold & Buckley Chess Club for over forty years, playing for them in the Chester & District Chess League, and the Wirral Chess League.
Frank also won the RAF National Championships in 1976.
He was always a very cheerful, friendly and a very kind man. Frank always welcomed new players and gave his time and encouragement to those learning chess. He'd play everyone, whatever their strength.
Frank was a very strong player and he was always sporting whether he won or lost.
