Re: Rook Endgames from Morphy to Carlsen
Nice idea but tough subject to tackle. Hardly anyone is any good at chess and even those that are mess rooks endings up all the time. It's a few years back but Carlsen and Caruana got into one once and neither of them had any idea of how to proceed in the post game analysis. From memory both had connected passed pawns on opposite sides and on the second and third ranks
for both players. Rook endgames with R v R+ 2 pawns, one is a rooks pawn and the other the bishops pawns contain so many nuances no one ever gets them right. If I make it to 2500, maybe then I will buy this book. Hard to imagine its better than what Dr. and GM Nunn has published.
