Mike Waddington who may be the only British player to still use this regularly was third in the Dorset Open. I notice the review doesn't mention the symmetric defence which can run 1. Nc3 Nc6 2. d4 d5 3. e4 and now 3. .. e6 is a relatively obscure line of the French.
