or fifth place in this season's Premier League.
I take your point, but Christopher was correct.

Oh, assumed you were referring to 5th place in this year's premier league potentially qualifying for the Champions league.

Yes, as CK said.

After this week's results England is already behind Germany in the race for a fifth spot. To reverse it I think Aston Villa have to win both legs of their semi-final, and the final, and hope that the three German teams left lose virtually all their remaining games.

I think it's actually the Germans losing every match from what I read, which is unlikely enough, let alone Villa winning every match

Just shows that not even wrecking the game for everyone else is enough to make them successful

Week 34

"i enjoy nights like tonight" Sean Dyche after Everton thwart Liverpool's title ambitions.

As if by magic............Mark Leonard appears! Into Week 34 and suddenly from nowhere Mark scores 151 points and is overall leader after not appearing in the top five prior to this. It was a huge week for those who got it right with dozens of managers in triple figures courtesy of Free Hit and Bench Boost chips. Even those who haven't been paying any attention managed to reach these heady heights because of double matches for a number of clubs. Melvin Pool scored a magnificent 176 points whilst Neil Pennock a less than impressive 14 points as low scorer again.

1 McAtee Associates Mark Leonard 151 2181
2 Mostly Clevedon David Egginton 100 2177
3 Cunha Feel It? Thomas Evans 110 2167
4 What means this? Kaia Means 140 2158
5 Aimless Wanderers John Peters 111 2156

Finally Top score of the week was 217 points - but to achieve this 15 transfers were used.

Week 35

"I also read that almost the whole squad of Man United is available," Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace manager, when asked if United will sign Palace's star players.

Just like last week there's another late arrival - this time James Marley. David Egginton might have regained first place but for him the league might well be over. David has no chips left to play but the four teams below him are still holding a Bench Boost card - indeed teams 6-10 also have this in reserve. Ready to be played in Week 37! Matthew Timbrell and David Lambert joint top scorers for the week - our usual suspect with the low score again.

1 Mostly Clevedon David Egginton 81 2258 (none)
2 McAtee Associates Mark Leonard 74 2251 (Bench Boost)
3 Cunha Feel It? Thomas Evans 82 2249 (Bench Boost)
4 Aimless Wanderers John Peters 82 2238 (Bench Boost)
5 Dynamo Flick James Marley 93 2236 (Bench Boost)

Current overall leader Jonas Sand Låbakk (Norway) on 2,472 points.

Week 36

"I have enjoyed four and a half brilliant years at West Ham" David Moyes who will be leaving at the end of the season.

Three Dozen Premier Chess managers achieved triple figures in Week 36. A list would fill this report so a mention for David Grobler who with 118 was the top scorer whilst for a change Oto Obong-Bassey was wooden spoon holder of the week, Meanwhile David Egginton is still in first place but his rivals gather behind ready to play their bench boost chips and sweep past him. Overall winner is still too difficult to call - watch this space for an update after Week 37.

1 Mostly Clevedon David Egginton 97 2355
2 Cunha Feel It? Thomas Evans 102 2351
3 Aimless Wanderers John Peters 108 2346
4 efc1985 dax bale 108 2339
5 McAtee Associates Mark Leonard 85 2336

On the other hand The Norwegian with the long name (see Week 35) has a mammoth gap of over fifty points to his nearest rival. He still has Bench Boost to play - so must be unassailable or so we think.
