In the bar at Zaragoza Airport
I picked up my wife yesterday and while I was waiting for her flight from Stansted to arrive, I went to the bar for some refreshments. There's a buffet section with trays and the paper towels on the trays caught my eye.
What's this? Once I had selected my refreshment (500ml bottle of gaseosa, 2,75€) I took the tray to my table for a closer look.
Match of the Century, Fischer v Spassky, Karpov, Korchnoi, a bit of English and a bit of Spanish. And mostly German.
As far as I can see it reproduces some analysis of the Alekhine Variation of the Dutch Defence, in German (and in long algebraic, which I've not seen for a while).
In the boxed middle section, which I've reproduced on both the previous image and the next one, there's a game quoted from 1980 but all the other references - there's not many - seem to be from earlier.
So this raises the question - from where is the text taken?

"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Fascinating. I hope you snaffled a couple of unused samples of these, as they are the sort of oddity that could well be sought after by collectors (he says, hopefully). Good luck with working out where the text is from. Have you considered asking the HostelNovo people who claim copyright, and/or finding out why the airport bar has this sort of thing on their tray liners (no idea if there is a technical term for this)? Maybe the proprietor is a chess enthusiast? (German in a Spanish airport? )
EDIT: It would be interesting to know who the artist is as well (I assume the rear of the tray liners was blank?).

"Fantastic"
Agreed - and well done, Nick! Shame they're out of stock, I think they would have got plenty of sales.
(Edit for new info) Oh, well, actually £25 for 500.

Possible done as a nod or salute to the current candidates being held in Spain.
But that is a complete guess. Rather neat though.
As Chris said I hope you managed to get a couple.
