Thought it might be an idea to start a thread about the upcoming 4NCL season, which starts in a few weeks. I was browsing the 4NCL website and found some of the stuff posted on the "wanted" page quite interesting:

Wonder which of the recent offers got snapped up by whom? Maybe the 4NCL should have an auction like the T-20 Indian Cricket Leagues do?

I see the draw for Div 3 is up.
http://www.4ncl.co.uk/1011_fixdiv3.htm#
Unfortunately there seems to be a mistake
Round 1 - 14:00 Saturday 6th November 2010
De Vere Venues, Staverton Park
E2E4.ORG.UK 4 (0) vs. KJCA KNIGHTS (0)
Round 2 - 11:00 Sunday 7th November 2010
De Vere Venues, Staverton Park
KJCA KNIGHTS (0) vs. E2E4.ORG.UK 4 (0)
I can't email Mike or Neville from where I am so perhaps someone from forumland could alert them.

Sean, I notice there are two KJCA KNIGHTS teams for Round 1. I think one should be KJCA KINGS. I think that's your round 1 opponent.

Unlikely, since KJCA KINGS are already playing Celtic Tigers 2 in Round 1. I think it more likely that Bristol 2 should appear in the draw somewhere.

I hadn't noticed that; you're quite right.

Hopefully now fixed? If not, please let me know ASAP. Apologies for the (hopefully temporary) confusion.

Throughout the season, RTK's correspondents will be reporting on all three divisions of the 4NCL. We are inviting annotations for publication, with
a prize for the best submission from each weekend that reaches us within 14 days of the game being played.
And if anyone fancies sending us their take on the Northern League at any point, drop us a line at
[email protected] .

What on earth are you doing to the Slough v Wood Green games? For most of the afternoon Rendle was shown beating Pert on 1 while Lalic was losing to Varnam on 4. Now suddenly these two games have been switched round allegedly showing Rendle losing on 4 and Lalic winning on 1. And the new version makes no sense as regards colour alternation since it shows Slough with White on all of boards 3-5.
All this gives a very unreliable impression.

Apologies for that. There was a communication problem with that match just before start of play, we thought we had retrieved the match correctly, obviously we hadn't. We rectified the names when we became aware of the problem.
