A bit disappointed to find there seems to be no way to add a comment to that BCN profile. I was going to mention Bruce Hayden's pen-portrait of Lommer in Cabbage Heads And Chess Kings (and before that in Chess Review). Also the entertaining story behind a study where under-promotion to B is necessary for a win, while using a minimum white force of K+P (related by Lommer's friend and fellow endgame study enthusiast Heinrich Fraenkel, writing as "Assiac", in The Delights Of Chess).
