I've forgotten how to do this.
Can someone remind me, or point me to an explanation, of how to use the BBCode pos?

Render the position in Forsyth-Edwards Notation and put that in between the pos tags.

Thanks both - that's what I thought and was trying (minus the tweaky bits at the end) but my previews seemed always to produce an initial starting position. Since reading your advice it has magically started working again. Dunno what I did wrong! I'm just going loopy.
