Why can't we put our own pictures on? - just add a bit of code to allow us to browse our databases and add a picture of our own desire (if that's how it works). Make people agree not to put offensive or pornographic material on their pictures beforehand though...

If you send me (via email...) the images you want I am happy to upload them to the web server and then you can select them from there

But if it's a picture of me playing chess that i want as my avatar for example, wouldn't that make it available for everybody?

Yes and no - for one who would be daft enough to select it?

Plus I monitor everything rather strictly (in between working for a living...) and would remove anyone who picked it as an avatar if I am honest about it...
