At 2:26 better news:-

We were provided a solution by Cisco TAC at approximately 01:40 UK time. This was the third solution provided and we are pleased to say that it seems to have been effective.

Network capacity and performance is running at normal levels, and over 99% of clients are back online. Initial diagnosis shows that any servers not currently online are in their current state for a reason other than network.

We are running at a reduced redundancy level as was necessitated to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
