Confident start to a very tough event.

A draw for Amy and a win for Syzmon on round 7 so that leaves Amy on 3 and Syzmon on 2.5. The rest day has been moved from tomorrow to Tuesday according to an announcement on the website today!

This is reminiscent of the 2002 Olympiad in Bled. In Round 7, immediately before the first rest day, Guernsey were given a bye so that the host nation's third team could get a game - this was standard procedure, as it still is. At the start of the round it was announced that the rest day would be moved back by one day. The Guernsey team, who had taken the opportunity to go on a two day trip to Vienna, did not receive this information so failed to appear for their next match and were defaulted.

England rattled up 2/2 without me watching so Amy is on 4/9 and Syzmon on 3.5.
