We have created a New Yorkshire Junior Chess Association.
A new website http://www.yorkshirejuniorchess.co.uk will be live soon.
The new Association and the new web site will be an exciting change for juniors in the county.
If anyone has any discussion points between the Association or between juniors members or parents or interested parties - please post on this Forum and Topic.
If anyone decides to set up a new topic - please ensure you enter Yorkshire Junior Chess in the Subjest Title.

Re: New Yorkshire Junior Chess Association
There was a junior committee of YCA(Yorkshire) for many years - and the first steps were taken last year to form an independent Junior Chess Assoc. This year we have completely revamped the remit of the body and we will start to provide extensive training and events to improve our county juniors and we hope you see more of Yorkshire at junior national tournaments.
We hope to invest in Yorks junior chess and emulate our senior chess players - who have lifted 3 County Cups this Saturday.
We will be running 5 junior Grand Prix throughout the year which attract many of the best juniors in the county and this year we intend to invite top juniors from out the county to compete. We successfully ran 3 Grand Prixs last year.
The website is not ready to upload yet - but will hopefully be up soon. I would love to hear from other county jnuior associations.
