I am not there so Peter is sending me the information.

Can anyone tell me how to get it higher in the list when people search ?

The quickest way is to ensure that as many other sites as possible are linking to that particular page; email the biggest referrers, such as TWIC!

The event is decided on 'game points' (so a 4-1 win and a 2.5-2.5 draw scores more than two 3-2 victories). I don't really like this system and it might prove to be somewhat unfair when the teams are of very varying strengths.
Is it an All-Play-All? If so, it probably isn't so bad.

Managed to get some of England's results from one of the Welsh team (who lives in Redditch, and goes to a school in Bartley Green - clearly Welsh...)

England won both their games today in the Glorney and Faber. He doesn't know about the other sections.

He was quite disappointed about being "totally drawn" against George Tunstall, and lost, and in the reverse game today, had a "totally won position", and lost.

England are well in command in all the boys sections, but there is a tie for the lead in the Faber. England drew all three games against Ireland and are now level with Scotland. England will have the advantage of White on odd boards when the teams meet in the final round.

England sweep the board! Bit of a last day collapse in the Glorney Cup though...

Does anyone have any details of the 2011 competition being held in Ireland? I found this on the Welsh Chess Union website:

Glorney Cup and 4 Nations Event ~ 20th - 22nd July in Dublin, Ireland
- U18 Boys 5 player team, U14 team 6 players, U12 team 6 players

Thanks to Susan Owens for the following info:

The Irish Chess Union (ICU) is hosting the above tournaments in 2011. They will be held in the “HUB” in Dublin City University (DCU) from Tuesday 19th July 2011 (date of arrival for participating teams) to Saturday 22nd July 2011 (date of departure). There will be 4 events as follows:

John Robertson Cup (for teams of 6 players under 12 years of age).

Teams from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales will be taking part in the Tournaments and each tournament will have six rounds of matches. Each player will have two hours for all moves and the tournaments will be registered with FIDE for rating purposes. Teams will play each other twice with colours reversed in the second match.

The timetable for the event is as follows:

I'm speaking to one of the Welsh players on Facebook at the moment, who is playing in Dublin. Does the Welsh team not have a curfew time?

Thanks Susan - is "Jessica Gilbert Cup" correct? Should it be Jessie throughout?

People use different names. The U12 and U14 seem to swap names as well depending where you read it.

I will continue to call it the Faber Gilbert Cup. This keeps the historical link and the memorial link, and as a webmaster the search context remains for the future.

Hi Susan, thanks for getting the first information out to us on the Forum. Totally agree with you regarding the names, at the u18 level it was and should continue to be the Glorney/Faber. Adding a 'tag' not a big issue but let's not forget Faber altogether.
