The quickest way is to ensure that as many other sites as possible are linking to that particular page; email the biggest referrers, such as TWIC!Susan Owens wrote:The Glorney Gilbert & Four Nations results are on the WCU website.

I am not there so Peter is sending me the information.
Can anyone tell me how to get it higher in the list when people search ?

Is it an All-Play-All? If so, it probably isn't so bad.Matthew Turner wrote:The results are up on the website and the games have been inputted, so should appear shortly. The event is decided on 'game points' (so a 4-1 win and a 2.5-2.5 draw scores more than two 3-2 victories). I don't really like this system and it might prove to be somewhat unfair when the teams are of very varying strengths.

Re: Glorney Faber Cup
Managed to get some of England's results from one of the Welsh team (who lives in Redditch, and goes to a school in Bartley Green - clearly Welsh...)
England won both their games today in the Glorney and Faber. He doesn't know about the other sections.
He was quite disappointed about being "totally drawn" against George Tunstall, and lost, and in the reverse game today, had a "totally won position", and lost.

England are well in command in all the boys sections, but there is a tie for the lead in the Faber. England drew all three games against Ireland and are now level with Scotland. England will have the advantage of White on odd boards when the teams meet in the final round.

England sweep the board! Bit of a last day collapse in the Glorney Cup though...

I'm speaking to one of the Welsh players on Facebook at the moment, who is playing in Dublin. Does the Welsh team not have a curfew time?

Thanks Susan - is "Jessica Gilbert Cup" correct? Should it be Jessie throughout?

People use different names. The U12 and U14 seem to swap names as well depending where you read it.
I will continue to call it the Faber Gilbert Cup. This keeps the historical link and the memorial link, and as a webmaster the search context remains for the future.

Re: Glorney Faber Cup
Hi Susan, thanks for getting the first information out to us on the Forum. Totally agree with you regarding the names, at the u18 level it was and should continue to be the Glorney/Faber. Adding a 'tag' not a big issue but let's not forget Faber altogether.Susan Owens wrote:People use different names. The U12 and U14 seem to swap names as well depending where you read it.
