EPSCA: its very early foundation

Am attempting to unearth the very early beginnings of the English Primary Schools Chess Association (EPSCA).
Their web site is silent on this matter.
We think 2027 will be the 60th anniversary of its founding in 1967.
Any contributions will be most welcome.
