The Hampshire UKCC Megafinal will, once again, take place at the splendid environs of New Hall, Winchester College and be run by Hampshire Junior Chess Association.

In 2024 we had more than 210 entries and we aim to exceed that in 2025.

We have booked the local ice cream vendor who was overwhelmed with custom in 2024.

The current entry list stands at 53 across all sections

Very happy to read that Winchester College is still providing the venue for this. It’s many years since I first twisted an arm or two to persuade them to do it. Is it still held in New Hall?

Yes, indeed. New Hall is the superb venue for the Hampshire Megafinal.

If you plan to enter the Hampshire Megafinal but have not then please do so since entries are quickly running out.

The U8 section is already up to 27 players with more to come.

We are now full.

Should be a fun (if a little warm) weekend for the organisers and Sunday for the children and parents.

The Hampshire UKCC Megafinal concluded successfully after six hard fought rounds for nine age sections and 175 players.
