One of my state schools has requested a risk assessment for a lunchtime school chess club without providing a form to complete.
Has anyone else made something up off the top of their head as I appear to be expected to do so?
I once almost twisted my ankle treading on a bishop and pairing board has fallen over.
Some pieces have dropped from a demonstration board.
Children burst into tears from losing or hearing my terrible jokes.
Also, I am not trained in first aiding typical chess injuries.

Try asking for terms of reference. When you have received them, you may find they answer some of your questions.

This I can believe.

I have done so already to no avail.John Townsend wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 5:02 pmTry asking for terms of reference. When you have received them, you may find they answer some of your questions.
I have to comply for Friday this week in order to hand the RA to Ofsted.
I assume I will be marked as
Inadequate, Requires Improvement, Good or Outstanding.

The school should have a template?!
But failing that, Fascinating Aida might help...

John, on no account attempt to write a risk assessment unless you know what you are doing or take legal advice. If the r.a. is sloppy and something goes wrong, you could be wide open to a claim against you.
If you can't get a written description of what is required of you, leave it there.
