The 2022 Hampshire Junior Open Congress will take place on Sunday, November 13th

at

Badger Farm Community Centre, 2, Badger Farm Road, Winchester, Hampshire, SO22 4QB

It is a round of the London Junior Chess Championships (LJCC).

Congratulations to Iwan Cave who, within seven days became the Hampshire Champion followed by the Hampshire Junior (U18) Champion.

Another great result from Iwan. It was interesting that a few days later in the Southampton Chess League he was paired against the 1964 Hampshire Champion (John Wilkinson). The game ended in a draw, showing John still has it 58 years after winning the championship!

But Iwan is a real talent for the future and is improving at a phenomenal rate!
