Ilkley Grammar School Rapid Play - 21 May 2022

The Chess Centre are really pleased to announce our first ever Junior Rapid Play Tournament, which will be held at Ilkley Grammar School on the 21st May 2022. It will be a 6 round swiss format, with 4 sections (subject to entries).

We hope that junior players from across the north, and beyond, will take the chance to visit sunny Ilkley and enjoy a great day out in Yorkshire.

Ilkley Grammar school is also very easy for anyone travelling in by train as it is a 5min walk form Ilkley station.

Hi Andrew. This is great news.
I've been informed the Lancashire Chess Association leadership has decided not to hold any Lancashire Junior Congresses until at least the next academic year. So I'll be encouraging the juniors at Cleveleys to enter junior tournaments in West Yorkshire and Merseyside.

Hi Simon, Thank you for your support. Ilkley Grammar School is a great venue for this event, and a very quick walk from Ilkley Train Station for anyone coming in via train. We look forward to hopefully seeing some of the Cleveleys juniors at the event in May.
