I am looking into purchasing a Cafe Bar in Tenerife which will be a central Chess Hub for all coffee house chess players. I will keep everyone updated on that progress in our monthly newsletter. Simply send an email to [email protected] to be added to the once per month email.

I could he interested in a partnership if someone would like to relocate to Tenerife and has £30k to invest in a fantastic new chess lifestyle.

You were only uniformed because you came on and posted without correctly researching me or my new organisation.

I am afraid that is a poor excuse for coming on and bringing a totally unecessary veiled attack. An apology would be welcomed otherwise kindly go and post elsewhere.
Sorry as you are the person doing the selling, the onus is on you to provide credentials and assurances. I offer in good faith advice for any consumer/uninformed parents as I want, and you have provided zero info on any events that has taken place, or any booked venues (with receipts/proof).

Also saying things like "...the only player to score a norm" does not look good btw. It looks like that you are inflating your achievements to those who are informed, and trying to dupe those who aren't. Although I can't say what your actual intentions are except that it looks bad to me.

Our 5 star events are held in 5 star hotels where we negotiate a reduction on accomodation.
Which of these have so far been arranged?

So, Charlie, are you investing 30k in this Tenerife project so it's an equal partnership or are you expecting someone else to be the money man.

Hi John,

Yes I have £30k plus to invest. But would prefer a working partner in the Cafe Bar business as its better than having a staff member; shared stresses and more time off. With an equal partner. I will also be Dj ing out there in the evenings when not doing so in my / our Cafe Bar. The idea of working and living in Tenerife is a good work lifestyle balance I find very attractive.

My policy is not to communicate with any person within these threads who acts in a vexatious manner as experience has taught me some people are incapable of good manners here at times . If you are ignored its because I consider you to be immature in your comment and I have no desire to inflame the situation, best you go and look at other threads or go and do something productive.

Thanks Charlie. I looked at this a while back as an idea for my youngest boy and your money is way out. Maybe 200k might be possible for a decent place but don't let me discourage you. If you are going to buy something cheap, you can do but don't think that you will be DJing all over the island.

Thanks John

I will take those comments on board and add it to my extensive research on good candidate businesses in Tenerife.

I wish you luck in Tenerife but I don't know enough about your other ideas to offer any views.

I have used lockdown to have a really big think what I want to do with final working 20 years of my life. I have always wanted to setup a Chess Centre on a gorgeous island and turn it into a global chess hub hosting FIDE and Blitz events and a chess training and testing facilty. I had planned to set it up in Tenerife, however a fantastic opportunity has arisen to take it to my first choice location of Malta. If things go according to plan I will have a fantastic International Chess Centre for Chess Tournaments, Training and Testing operational within 2 months. It will feature regular FIDE Rating and Norm opportunity tournaments. It will mean my having to live and work in Malta and this will be a dramatic but welcomed lifestyle change. Let the adventure begin🎯😎
