Good to hear. Thanks for all your hard work.

Any chance of the downloadable file (grades08*.csv) being put into the download area this evening?

Pardon? Up to 80? Well that's going to annoy a lot of my teammates then if we have two teams in the same division! I'm made up with that though! :D

As the poster above says, thanks for all your hard work, it is really appreciated. Can't wait to see the grades tomorrow, any idea what time?

No to both of those - once it's checked and approved it should go live

Thanks Carl and everyone else who contributed. I'm glad the 'amended' grades aren't visible yet, as they would have bound to have caused confusion!

There is a comment on the home/first page regarding the element of "New Grades" being published

"They will appear in August with the start-of-season version of the list."

Ok I've found that there are some players highlighted in blue that have a revised grade, but the difference is only 1-2 points in each case I've found. I was under the impression that the amendment would be something in the region of 80% of grade +50.

Greg,
The very recent changes follow on from corrections made to rating information submitted from the previous season. That is, the correction of mistakes to information supplied by organisers to Rating Officers. These happen at the end of each rating period.

The ratings uplifts that are scheduled for the end of August are the much discussed fixes to the long term deflation and will be substantial the lower your original rating.

Expect roughly : new_rating = ( original rating * 0.8 ) + 50 or whatever the agreed formula was.

So, if you were zero (0) you will become 50.

100 -> 130 etc

If these numbers are of importance to you then there will be much discussion up and down the land.

John

Once again I've run my mouth off before fully looking into what I'm talking about.

Have just found the "amended" button on the grading page, which I assume is for late breaking info and corrections as you say John.

My apologies Carl...

Yes it's top players and "amended" but the only changes were some minor corrections or amendments which always occur mainly before the official release which is aimed at also the printed version

We also upload amendments throughout the year as well
