Given that she is pictured, I suppose the identity of his wife (a chessplayer herself, and from a family tradition in the game) might be mentioned.

Gary is pictured with wife WIM Nancy L. Jones and their children Ryan and Jasmin.

The picture was taken at the 2012 London Chess Classic on December 4th by myself.
