Thanks Paul. You talk a lot of sense on the forum and I enjoy reading your posts.
I still get The Times on a Saturday and Sunday and enjoy reading the David Howell column.
I do miss the Raymond Keene columns in The Times which appeared daily.
There is only a puzzle each day during week in The Times which is a bit of a shame.

Looks scarily like someone I know [no further details to protect privacy!].
Though to be fair, the person I am thinking of is ten years older than Ray...

The forum has been a better place since it rid itself of its RDK obsession.

But isn't that chicken and egg, in that he has become rather less conspicuous in his dotage.

Agreed - but the obsession was less the Forum's and more one particular forumite who no longer posts.

I for one regret said poster's retirement from the forum, "obsession" or not.

Unfortunately there are those on here, as elsewhere, who would prefer that the Penguin was never held to account.

Strangely enough I miss Horton as well. I hated his politics, but he livened this place up, and knew his chess.

But am I saying, come back Justin? I am not.

Don't really see why posters are so keen to comment in this way on the contribution of others. Not as if any of the critics are notable for their own efforts, and some have obsessions of their own. Surely better just to ignore posts of no personal interest.
