Remembering (Charles) Michael Bent (27-xi-1919 28-xii-2004)

Michael Bent was one of England's most eminent study composers, a successful tennis player, collector of butterflies, composer of crosswords, keen stamp collector and keen wood carver.
He served in the Royal Navy but suffered from motion sickness.

Bit of a shame that there is no picture/photo of him in that piece.

Indeed. We searched high and low without success. Local newspapers for Newbury might help in a lawn tennis context.
Possibly the War Office archive could help or the Royal Navy College at Dartmouth?
We looked at every one of his
BCM columns hoping for a thumbnail image : perhaps he was camera shy?
If anyone can help then that would be most appreciated.
