Anyway, a mild round up of the other stuff:
Sheffield are now 99.99% champions with their game point advantage and very well deserved it will be too.

York have a 2nd vs 3rd play off with Hull in two weeks. Hull have got draw odds, and are at home and probably mild favourites.

Wakefield and (a slight surprise?) Rose Forgrove are relegated.

Huddersfield are promoted from the IMB, and Ilkley Dragons look likely to follow them. That'll be a totally (?) new team in the Woodhouse. Good to see :)

Also nice to see the juniors of York D doing well - about to swap divisions with York C?

Well Sheffield cruised home, with a very tidy 6-2 average for the season.

York beat Hull in a close match to get second - both teams nearly a game point/match behind Sheffield, who do look set to dominate. York won a number of very close matches this year, we could fairly easily have finished quite a bit lower.

Huddersfield and Ilkley up from the IMB, Harrogate B and Alwoodley B down. York D's hoard of juniors set to go up into the IMB. Good to see :)

Jim Burnett got the most points of anyone in the Woodhouse (7/9). Liza Kisteneva got 5/5 for Leeds, Daniel Sullivan 5.5/6 for Sheffield.

Mostly of course just really nice to have the league back and operating well.

Hi all,

Is there a special rate for bronze members who have never been a member for the ECF before AKA me?

Thinking about joining soon

I am potentially prepared to play for any team in the local Huddersfield chess league. Feel free to contact me.

I guess that local York organizer you were talking about may be Clousdale?
