English Chess Forum

This year's AGM is scheduled to be held at The Chess Centre, Ilkley (www.chesscentre.online) on Saturday 18th June at 4pm.

Please contact the League Secretary Dale Cullum for further details: [email protected]

Dale and Steve have done a fantastic job to publish all papers on the Yorkshire Chess website before the AGM next week. Great works guys.

I am proud to confirm that following the YCA AGM today I will be taking up the reins at President of the YCA. I am equally happy to confirm that Steve Westmoreland will be working with me as Vice-President of the YCA.

Steve and I share a common aim of wanting to promote grassroots and junior chess across the white rose county. Alongside modernising the game, and making it accessible to as many people as possible, we have a lot on our hands!

In this regard we are keen to engage with the wider Chess community and to promote collaborative relationships as widely as possible.

Should you wish to speak with us then please feel free to email me at: [email protected]

And [email protected] for myself. Very happy to be supporting Andy with this.

Good luck to both of you Nice to see the league inching back to something like Pre Covid sizes.

I came over the report from Stephen Mann when checking, its a fun read:

Thanks Martin, excellent Report; good luck to all concerned, and good luck with finding an Open team captain

We have an Open Team captain now. Matt Web.
