Jersey Festival 1-8 April 2017

Come and play chess on the beautiful island of Jersey! You can get there in half an hour by air from the UK mainland, or by ferry from the English and French coasts. And technically you may not even need a passport!

There are two 9-round events - an Open, and a Holiday Tournament for players Under 1900 (and under ECF 160 if you have a standard ECF grade). There is also a great FIDE rated BLITZ tournament on the Wednesday night! If you can't play in all nine rounds, or you need a break, you can have two half point byes. ("Untitled players can take up to two half-point byes between rounds 1-8 provided they are requested before the end of the previous round.")

You can register for the 2017 event using this link - https://form.jotform.com/52435709546966

Once you have registered, we will send you instructions on how to pay and also how to book your accommodation at the hotel venue, the Hotel Ambassadeur, St Clement Bay, La Grande Route de la Côte, Jersey JE2 6SB.

Here is a lovely two-part article on ChessBase all about the 2016 event, with great photography by Alina L'Ami.
