the Congress is returning to a formal of one round a day for the Masters

This year the Masters returns to its traditional format of one round per day. Parallel events, with rating restrictions, will include the Con Power, New Year, and Weekender, while additional sections may also feature. A detailed schedule will follow soon

It's running from Dec 28th 2026 (Bank Holiday Monday) until Jan 5th 2027 (Tuesday)

There's nothing yet on the website, but a flyer distributed at the British contains more details.

It's going to be at the Horntye Park Sports Complex as usual.

No round times quoted, but the Masters is one round a day from Monday Dec 28 to Tuesday Jan 5th reverting to 40/90 + 30 move with 30 second increments.

The subsidiary tournaments are 7 rounds from Mon 28th to Thu 31st (Con Power) and 5 rounds (New Year( from Sunday 3rd (pm) to Tuesday 5th Jan.

The weekend tournaments are 5 rounds from Friday 1st (afternoon) to Sunday 3rd Jan. There's no play in the weekend events on the Sunday afternoon, so the format has to be 2/2/1 or 1/3/1.

The weekender is planned as Fri Afternoon rd 1 and evening round 2. Sat morning rd 3 and rd 4 in the afternoon with round 5 on Sunday morning. This unusual arrangement allows for a 5 round New Year event with an Afternoon round on the Sunday and then morning and afternoon on Monday and Tuesday.
