The 56th was cancelled at relatively short notice.

Accommodation in Rhyl on the booking.com site seems to be a choice between caravans and mobile homes. Those old enough may recall the 1969 British but there's been a weekender most years since.

Worth noting that the congress website links to the budget hotels for the area, which don't appear on that site.

There's Premier Inn and Travelodge which you have to check independently of the booking sites. Rhyl is at the cheaper end of their offerings. It seems to be mostly a choice between one of those and caravan parks to stay in Rhyl itself.

The congress website has been updated and all sections are now FIDE-rated.
