Prizes will be awarded depending on the number of entries received.

No competitor may win more than one prize.

ENTRY FEE: £10

Entry can only be effected by payment of the appropriate fee. The closing date is WEDNESDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2023. Entries received after this date will be subject to a £2.50 late surcharge. It is intended to limit the number of entries to about 30 to preserve the atmosphere of the tournament. Early entry is therefore advised. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entries without giving a reason.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Each player has 30 minutes to complete the entire game. International Chess Federation (FIDE) RapidPlay rules apply and these will be displayed.

This is not a knockout competition. Players take part in all rounds and will be matched against an opponent with a score similar to their own (the “Swiss System”). Competitors must notify the Congress Director if they wish to withdraw during the event. Not to do so is discourteous to the next opponent.

Mobile phone ringers MUST be switched off during play.

Competitors are requested NOT to bring their own food into the playing venue.

The organisers cannot be held responsible for any item lost by a competitor.
