Inaugural Derbyshire Chess Congress 23rd & 24th Sept.

Post by dwoodhouse » Tue Apr 25, 2023 10:38 am

This is a new event (as the title implies!) in the SE corner of Derbyshire, Long Eaton, very close to J. 25 of the M1. We are accepting online entries through the website: https://dcc23.co.uk which also contains a map and photographs of what is likely to become a very popular venue in the future, due to both its attractive location outside and the playing area inside. There is ample car parking and playing space within the venue for the 200 entrants we are allowing for. Entry at this stage is without payment as we are in the process of finalising the bank details. Many thanks to those who (despite it being very early days) have already secured their places through the online entry system. Best wishes, David Woodhouse.

Further to my original message, the bank details for this congress have been sorted and we are now taking payments for online entries. The website for the congress https://dcc23.co.uk has been updated to reflect this change. There is also a flyer to download from the site should you wish, and this contains full details of the event, including a postal address for those who still prefer to pay by cheque. Many thanks to those of you who have already entered despite it being early days. We have set a limit of 200 but have already reached 10% which is very encouraging. Should you have any questions which are not covered by the website or the flyer, please feel free to get in touch.
