I'm pleased to see it's back.

It clashes with both the Hastings weekend and part of the 4NCL.

Yes its always clashed with Hastings being on that same weekend, but with the distance between them about 220 miles its not been a problem in the past.
A tad annoying re the 4ncl though.

I live about halfway between the two, it's about two hours by road in either direction. "last" year (2019) I played Hastings, so I may pencil in Telford.

Well you'll be more than welcome Roger, I can remember seeing you playing up here previously.
Oh and well done on a very good final day at Scarborough!

Great to see the Shropshire Congress back for 2023! Well done Phil, for getting it back up and running. Looks like it may continue to compete for the best food at any congress as well as excellent playing conditions and a friendly organising team.

There were live boards at the time: https://view.livechesscloud.com/#db69b2 ... 14d9f663d7 but I haven't seen anything else.

Well done to Oleg Cukovs (Poulton-le-Fylde) and Graham Ashcroft (Preston) joint 1st in the Major.
