Sounds like a great tournament.
I posted it as a Topic in the International News category last month.
Plenty of advertising for the event.

The site will be updated as more details are available,
It's now on the ECF calendar, running from 16th to 22nd October 2022,

It's moved as well to
St James Concert and Assembly Hall
College Street
St Peter Port, Guernsey

Presuming visotors will need to arrange their own travel and accommodation, a location map would be handy.

The weekend it starts is a busy one for UK events, with Hull and Bury St Edmunds being joined by a new event in Penzance.

Hi Roger,

Here is a link to a map, https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 99034&z=17

Here is the standard Google Map for St. James, https://www.google.com/maps/place/St+Ja ... -2.5386775

Visitors will need to book their own travel and accommodation, the hotels listed on the website are the closest ones that have told us they had good availability when the website was launched. Two of them have discounted rates for players, but you have to call them to obtain the rate, details are on the website at https://guernseychessfestival.org.gg/ac ... -guernsey/.

I hope that helps.

... and here's another link https://goo.gl/maps/tgk8B9M7nJhGAkXx6 .

It's on the edge of the main shopping centre in St Peter Port. Several hotels in easy walking distance, as well as restaurants and bars. It's a former church, converted to an arts centre several years ago. Also, just across the road from the island courts, so easy for Russell Finch to pop across from the day job.

Hi Jon.
Good to see there are 70 entrants already.
I've noticed WGM Sheila Jackson has also entered along with the forum's Kevin T and a high number of international players.
This is great news. It is also a great website.
