Rhyl Chess Congress

Post by Paul Robert Jackson » Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:14 am

Anybody know if Rhyl Chess Congress is planning to run in the future?
Obviously not run for 2 years.
Usually early May, so I expect 2022 at the earliest.

Stuart Hamilton was the organiser, but I know he has been looking for other individual's to take on organising it in the future.
Has run for over 50 years I believe

Rhyl Chess Congress will continue to run when allowed to.

Either by Stuart or if he is stepping down then Rhyl CC, WCU or someone else will make sure it continues.

I spoke with Stuart H at the Nottingham Congress this year.
He was hoping that the Rhyl Congress will run in 2023.

He did say there were no future dates planned for the "Llandudno Congress".

Ive just spoken to Stuart Hamilton. Apparently the Rhyl Chess Congress is being discussed at Rhyl Chess Club at this week's AGM.
