I'm not very good at identifying the moment when an endgame transitions from being difficult but holdable to objectively lost. However, I'm sure that by the time of 36...Kf6 in Arkell - Verma Black was already losing because there was no long term defence to my plan of creating connected passed pawns on the e and f files. I think the whole Rook Endgame is teetering on the edge of being hopeless as Black can only sit and wait while I continually improve my position.
