If the ECF and FIDE Calendars are to be believed then most events are going ahead.

Of course, I realise the reality is that many events probably haven't updated their entry to say their event is cancelled, which is disappointing.

That coincides with what I am finding; one usually has to go to an event's website to discover the correct status.
For what it is worth, there is a similar experience with Ramblers' walks.

That includes the English Seniors, the 4NCL end May near Basingstoke and the 4NCL summer near Crewe.

Those plus the British in Torquay and the Olympiad in Moscow would seem in doubt.

Ramblers' walks is now walking in isolation.
Keswick seems to be cancelled.
Forget about London.
Try Scotland Walks?

Thanet has been cancelled.
But the Northumberland Chess Congress in North Shields from the 25th to 27th September is definitely going ahead with a limited entry of 120.

Hopefully Northumberland Chess Congress will go ahead.
Then Harrogate Chess Congress 23rd to 25th October.
Is there any other OTB congresses going ahead?

I've had a look at Chess Scotland, Welsh Chess Union and Ulster Chess Union websites and Calendars.
There seems to be no OTB chess tournaments going ahead this year so far.

The City of Dublin Championship has a couple of FIDE sections and will take English entries 25th-27th September. Ryanair has cheap flights!

Chess may be banned, but we're actually being paid to enjoy the attractions of pubs and restaurants. I'm pleased to say that evening life is very lively ( and in fact starts at lunchtime since nobody is going to work ).

I'm sure this is all based on the soundest possible scientific and economic advice.
