This looks very promising! The only fly in the ointment I can see is it clashes with divisions one and two of the 4NCL, but then I guess many playing in the latter would be over-qualified for an U2200 event

I see from the map it's close to the M1. For those outside the M25 tempted to drive in, what's the parking going to be like?Adam Raoof wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 10:08 pmI am please to announce a new venue for our Under 2200 congresses.

The M25 is used as a giant car park.

In the spirit of this Forum's long tradition of off-topic posts, I had already mentioned the clash in the thread about the Northumberland Chess Congress.Tim Spanton wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 10:09 amThis looks very promising! There are only so many weekends! Actually the reason is on the previous weekend we are hoping to revive the Imperial College / Central London weekender.Tim Spanton wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 10:09 amThis looks very promising! Petrol notwithstanding, parking is available at the school but I will check the maximum numbers. We are also two minutes walk along from Copthall Leisure Centre which has a large car park, and we will see how it goes the first weekend.Roger de Coverly wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 10:16 amI see from the map it's close to the M1. Still, as you say, there are only so many weekends.
