Reinfeld's reputation suffered because later on in his writing career he "did a Raymondo" and churned out potboilers to order.

Chernev, not so much - though he was never the most reliable when it came to historical stuff. Loved his anecdotes, did Irving :)

True... Two words can be effective also.
