Just had a message from Amazon telling me that they have rejected my review.

They don't give a reason which rather puts me off doing any other reviews on Amazon. This is a little like the mentality of Lichess when banning someone : we're telling you done something wrong but we won't tell you what it is.

Why don't you publish your review on here instead? Or on British Chess News, if you prefer.

Due to unpopular demand here is my review from October 9th, 2020 :

Arkell's Endings

I wonder what Amazon objected to?

"I wonder what Amazon objected to? "
Its a great review but I suspect much too long for Amazon
Amazon reviews tend to be one or two paragraphs maximum

Consider Amazon's view of the potential readership perhaps? Is it the alleged 650 million who "play chess" but who haven't heard of Keith, GMs or ending specialities?

Here's Amazon's take on MSMG

I suspect the reason may be more to do with the references to non Amazon owned or affiliated sales platforms.

Ok, suppose somebody has to ask this - how many R+B v R endings are in it? ;)
And were any against me?
Keith does highlight the number of times he has reached rook and bishop versus rook. Always with success! Sharing the exact number feels like a bit of a spoiler, but I was amazed by it. Your three such games against Keith get an honourable mention Lawrence! The book games on this are against Richard Palliser and Robert Bryne. (Robert Bryne's brother will always be remembered for losing "The Game of the Century," to Fischer.)
I had another one yesterday:

I've noticed that Amazon - from whom I've never bought - seem to be at least as interested in favourable reviews of their sales service as they are in comments about the book itself.
"The chess-board is the world ..... the player on the other side is hidden from us ..... he never overlooks a mistake, or makes the smallest allowance for ignorance."
(He doesn't let you resign and start again, either.)
