Yes I thought he was winning right up to the end at which point I realised he was White not Black.

Excellent result for Wales today, assuming Iolo's game ends up drawn.

Edit : and it just has.

What has happened on board 2 of England 2 (50+)? Bc3 appeared on the live board followed by 1-0, and then disappeared followed by 0-1. Was it a loss on time?

Pairings for round 4 seem to indicate that Andrew Lewis did indeed win!

Boo the David game is missing from the pgn.

Andrew Lewis cleary hasn't read the script and seems to be doing very well against the Dr.

Nigel is well on top against Jim Plaskett and Keith has already won. The chessbomb engine was scoring the Speelman-Burnett game as about equal, but it now sees a possible advantage for White. The ending is a bit unbalanced so the experienced GM may well be able to find a path to victory.

Speelman did win. England 1 should win comfortably. Andrew Lewis gave up his queen and created another one by queening a pawn. Armenia look likely to draw 2-2 with Saint Petersburg, which gives the chasing teams some hope. (EDIT: not so clear now, Armenia might still keep their 100% record.)

Now St Petersburg seem to be beating Armenia 3-1 which is much better news.
If England I can beat St Petersburg (possibly tomorrow) the tournament is blown wide open.
