Vlassov half a point clear, but black against top seed Sturua in round 9 50+ pairings

Keith white on board 2 is currently third on tiebreak with 3 rounds to go standings; Terry Chapman doing well

Keith and Terry lost. Pity. Good effort though by both.

Keith white against top seed Sturua in the penultimate round pairings and needs a win to be in with a medal shout

Keith lost the rook and pawn ending, which is unusual for him, although the game had been getting difficult for some time.

Steve Boniface would envy the Board 39 pairing in the 65+ event.

How did his ghost infiltrate Swiss Manager?
He'd have had an old joke ready on seeing the result, too.
Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now.
