Keith is winning easily because White is struggling to defend his b3 pawn and against Queen side breakthroughs. White has a Knight on g5 that is irrelevant.

Why is Hewson playing on at move 30. Has he not noticed White's extra piece on f4.

In the over 65, we have Ian Reynolds, Ivan Myall, Anthony Ashby, Oliver Jackson and Julian Farrand, who all won yesterday

In the over 50, we have Keith who won, Meyrick who drew, Brian who lost, plus Owen Phillips who lost to David Cummings

I think that's all the English players?

I'm aware of Irish and Scots players including forumites Craig Pritchett and Tim Harding

Keith is a piece up for two pawns (move 22) and looks to be winning.

Two upsets on boards 3 and 5 of the 50+ - although I am not sure whether one is an upset since one of the winners is Boris Furman of Gibraltar fame!! Keith still grinding away but doing the necessary.

Keith wins and well done. I thought Black defended rather horribly although Keith will probably tell me otherwise but it's a damn site easier sitting here rather than watch your clock tick with Keith sitting across the board from you.

Can you elucidate? When did Boris Furman play in Gibraltar?

Excellent endgame play by Keith Arkell in round 2. Not an easy ending to convert.
